Taskforce Purpose:
Improve animal welfare by stopping cruel practices towards the animals in Harris County, Texas.
Mission:
The Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce is a joint partnership of law enforcement, animal control agencies, prosecutors, veterinarians, and the Houston Humane Society who work cooperatively in order to increase the quality of animal welfare in Harris County by ending cruel practices toward all animals through education, enforcement and evidence based prosecutions.

Educate the public and law enforcement on how to recognize and respond to animal abuse.
Enforce the laws to end the cruel practices toward all animals by having diligent thorough investigations.

Vision:
The Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce is dedicated to improving animal welfare through education and enforcement of existing laws. This model will serve as a model for other law enforcement, district attorney offices, and animal control agencies across the State of Texas.
